The U-12’s have been training at St. mary’s Grammar School since early December and have had a steady increase in numbers starting with 15 players to now having 24 true u-12’s. We had our first games  on January 31st at Meadowbank in the form of a 7-aside blitz indoor tournament. Our squad was split into 2 teams of 11 players. Our A-team (made up of 1st year players and some P7 players) played three games against Craigbane, Coleraine and Swatragh, winning all three games in good fashion with excellent team play and clinical scoring. Our B-team (made up of P7 and P6 players) played the same three clubs respective B or C teams and also won their games with ease, conceding their first score halfway through the 3rd game. The coaches were delighted with the turnout and the performance of all players. More importantly, the coaches were impressed with their players teamwork and sportsmanship. They followed those wins with an excellent practice the following Sunday and look forward to their next Indoor Blitz on Sunday, February 14.
